| Abstract: | Analyzes soil temperature measurements taken at depths of 0, 20, 40, 80, 160 and 320 cm, and NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data for depths of 0-10, 10-200, and 300 cm. Demonstrates that reanalysis data yield overestimated values for winter period, and underestimated values for summer period for 0-10 cm layer at high correlation coefficients. Reanalysis data are always underestimated for 10-200 cm layer. Defines correction between renalysis data and station network measurements. |
