Discusses components of ice thickness evolution modelling (thermodynamics, ice divergence and advection, ice deformation/convergence, and melting), methods of determining ice thickness (upward-looking sonars, electromagnetic induction sounding, satellite altimetry, etc.), and some results of observations of variability and trends in Arctic regions. |
