Topoclimatic diversity in Forlandsundet region (NW Spitsbergen) in global warming conditions / Rajmund Przybylak, Andrzej Araźny, Marek Kejna, eds.

Title: Topoclimatic diversity in Forlandsundet region (NW Spitsbergen) in global warming conditions / Rajmund Przybylak, Andrzej Araźny, Marek Kejna, eds.
Author(s): Przybylak, Rajmund,
Araźny, Andrzej,
Kejna, Marek,
Date: 2012.
Publisher: Toruń: Nicolaus Copernicus University
Abstract: Reports topoclimatic research conducted in Oscar II Land and on Prins Karls Forland, Spitsbergen, in 2010 and 2011, using following automatic instruments: Vantage Pro 2 weather station, recording speed and direction of wind, atmospheric pressure, air temperature and humidity, precipitation and UV/solar radiation; MadgeTech data loggers, recording air temperature and relative humidity; and CNR 4 radiometer, measuring short- and long-wave components of radiation balance. Results obtained were compared with data from base station on Kaffiøyra plain, where meteorological observations were carried out every six hours.
