Abstract: | Reports measurement of leaf area index (LAI) and total foliar nitrogen for plant communities dominated by Cassiope tetragona in sub-Arctic (Sweden) and High Arctic (Greenland and Svalbard). LAI of C. tetragona can be determined from are measurements of leaves attached to stem. LAI of C. tetragona tundra can be determined from measurements of vegetation reflectance through LAI-normalised difference vegetation index relationship. |
