Record #197718:

Effect of soil nutrient availability on the role of sexual reproduction in an Alaskan tundra plant community / Carol Ann Moulton, Laura Gough.

Title: Effect of soil nutrient availability on the role of sexual reproduction in an Alaskan tundra plant community / Carol Ann Moulton, Laura Gough.
Author(s): Moulton, Carol Ann.
Gough, Laura.
Date: 2011.
In: Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research. (2011.), Vol. 43(4) (2011)
Abstract: Examines effects of experimental addition of soil nutrients on species composition, flower and fruit production, seed dispersal, composition of seed bank, and seedling establishment in dry heath plant community in northern Alaska. Fertiliser addition significantly shifted adult community composition by decreasing lichens and evergreen shrubs and increasing abundance of bunchgrass (Hierochloe alpina) and dwarf birch (Betula nana).
