Record #197709:

Assessment of ASTER global digital elevation model data for Arctic research / W. Gareth Rees.

Title: Assessment of ASTER global digital elevation model data for Arctic research / W. Gareth Rees.
Author(s): Rees, W. Gareth.
Date: 2012.
In: Polar Record. (2012.), Vol. 48(244) (2012)
Abstract: Investigates accuracy of advanced space borne thermal emission and reflection (ASTER) global digital elevation model (GDEM) in various specifically Arctic landscapes, including ice and snow, boreal forest, tundra and unvegetated terrain, using test sites in Iceland, Norway, Russia and Svalbard. Uses semivariogram analysis to characterise magnitude and spatial correlation of errors in GDEM products from test sites.
