| Abstract: | Discusses long-term climate fluctuations in Arctic seas region. Results of studies provide evidence of significant role of circulation regimes of polar atmosphere in warming and cooling of Arctic in 20th century. Analyses cyclonic and anticyclonic activity over polar seas during period of cooling in 1970s and in warming of Arctic in 1983-2004. Concludes that warming of Arctic is linked to increase in cyclonic activity over Russian Arctic seas. |
