Microscale distribution patterns in high Arctic soil microarthropod communities: the influence of plant species within the vegetation mosaic / S.J. Coulson, I.D. Hodkinson, N.R. Webb.
Title: | Microscale distribution patterns in high Arctic soil microarthropod communities: the influence of plant species within the vegetation mosaic / S.J. Coulson, I.D. Hodkinson, N.R. Webb. |
Author(s): | Coulson, S. J. Hodkinson, I. D. Webb, N. R. |
Date: | 2003. |
In: | Ecography. (2003.), Vol. 26(6) (2003) |
Abstract: | Examination of hypothesis that, within relatively homogeneous vegetation type, spatial configuration of different plant species may be determining factor in composition of soil animal communities. Results showed that plants of different species act as useful proxy indicators of soil conditions affecting soil microarthropods. |
