Record #197574:

Influence of planetary waves on total ozone column distribution in northern and southern high latitudes / V. Lozirsky, and 3 others.

Title: Influence of planetary waves on total ozone column distribution in northern and southern high latitudes / V. Lozirsky, and 3 others.
Author(s): Lozirsky, V.
Date: 2011.
In: International Journal of Remote Sensing. (2011.), Vol. 32(11) (2011)
Abstract: Presents results of comparative analysis of quasi-stationary planetary wave (QSW) influences on total ozone column distribution at 60°N and 60°S latitudes. Uses Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS) version 8 total ozone satellite data for years 1979-2003 to examine longitudinal variation of ozone distribution. Derives spatial distribution and spectral components of QSW patterns from three-month averages for each year.. compares long-term changes in QSW characteristics for Arctic and Antarctic regions.
