Abstract: Evaluates strategies for prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, with particular reference to their applicability among Canadian Inuit populations. Discusses whether current Canadian HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment strategies are appropriate to Inuit health needs. Recommends Inuit-specific and culturally-sensitive interventions, as Inuit are at higher risk of HIV/AIDS infection than general population of Canada.
