Record #197119:

A revised radiocarbon sequence for Karluk-1 and the implications for Kodiak Island prehistory / Catherine F. West.

Title: A revised radiocarbon sequence for Karluk-1 and the implications for Kodiak Island prehistory / Catherine F. West.
Author(s): West, Catherine F.
Date: 2011.
In: Arctic Anthropology. (2011.), Vol. 48(1) (2011)
Abstract: Presents 21 new dates for Karluk-1 site, which suggest that site was occupied approx. 250-300 years later than previously thought. New dates help improve understanding of Karluk's place in prehistory and raise questions about role of Little Ice Age in driving cultural changes observed at Karluk-1.
