Abstract: | Reports that Canadian government is refocusing on northern oil and gas exploration and development as key components of future economic well-being of northern Canada. Final land claim settlements have clarified questions of land ownership in many regions, and new partnerships between indigenous peoples and government are developing more inclusive and regionally-focused regulatory environment. |
