Record #196030:

Hydrocarbon finds in the Arctic basins: discovery history, discovered resources and petroleum systems / Kenneth J. Chew, Didier Arbouille.

Title: Hydrocarbon finds in the Arctic basins: discovery history, discovered resources and petroleum systems / Kenneth J. Chew, Didier Arbouille.
Author(s): Chew, Kenneth J.
Arbouille, Didier.
Date: 2011.
Publisher: London: Geological Society
In: Arctic petroleum geology. (2011.),
Abstract: Reports that, over past 75 years, hydrocarbon exploration of Arctic regions north of Arctic Circle (66°N) has yielded some 450 discoveries which collectively account for 2.5% of global conventional petroleum liquids discovered to date and 15.5% of world's discovered conventional natural gas. Accumulations occur in rocks ranging from Cambrian to Pleistocene but 94% of all Arctic hydrocarbon resources occur in clastic reservoirs of Mesozoic age.
Notes:

In: Arctic petroleum geology / Anthony M. Spencer, and 4 others.
