Abstract: | Aboriginal Language Section of Northwest Territories (NWT) Language Bureau was established in 1973 to service delivery of region's eight official languages. Privatisation of Language Section in 1996 raised concerns that language provision in NWT would be adversely affected. Report outlines general impact of privatisation and shows need to improve quality of service, making it more responsive to needs of users. |
