Экстремальный выход плавучих льдов в Северо-Западная часть Тихого Океана

Title: Экстремальный выход плавучих льдов в Северо-Западная часть Тихого Океана
Title, transliterated: Ėkstremalʹnyĭ vykhod plavuchikh lʹdov v Severo-Zapadnai︠a︡ chastʹ Tikhogo Okeana / A.M. Poli︠a︡kova.
Translated title: Extreme supply of floating ice to the North-Western part of the Pacific Ocean.
Author(s): Poli︠a︡kova, A. M.
Date: 2007.
Language: Russian.
In: Okeanologii︠a︡. (2007.), Vol. 47(1) (2007)
Abstract: Analyzes data on interannual variability of ice drifts from Sea of Okhotsk and Bering Sea for period 1958 to 2005. Finds that during years with heaviest ice conditions, floating ice from Bering Sea moved to south along Kamchatka Peninsula down to latitude of fourth Kuril Strait forming tongue 30-50 miles wide. Depending on severity of winter, ice drifting from Sea of Okhotsk to north-western part of Pacific Ocean may move from Kunashir to Kruzenshtern straits and form band 30-40 miles wide.
