Abstract: Brief account of naming of Felton's flower by Carl Skottsberg in 1907, and description of similar plant with smaller flowers found in various islands west of West Falkland in 1997 and 2001. DNA sequencing indicates that both species of Calandrina were accidentally introduced to islands in 18th or 19th centuries by sealers or whalers from north America.
