| Abstract: | Examines selected quantitative characteristics of feeding of mass species of White Sea copepods such as Acartia bifilosa, Centropages hamatus, and Temora longicornis, and determines their relationships with selected biotic and abiotic factors. Finds rates of filtration and ingestion for all three species of copepods reliably depend on species to which the copepod belongs and on its stage of maturity. Notes that light conditions have predictable effect on rate of ingestion. |
