Environmental controls on needle gas exchange and growth of white spruce (Picea glauca) on a riverside terrace near the Arctic treeline / Patrick F. Sullivan, Bjartmar Sveinbjörnsson.

Title: Environmental controls on needle gas exchange and growth of white spruce (Picea glauca) on a riverside terrace near the Arctic treeline / Patrick F. Sullivan, Bjartmar Sveinbjörnsson.
Author(s): Sullivan, Patrick F.
Sveinbjörnsson, Bjartmar.
Date: 2011.
In: Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research. (2011.), Vol. 43(2) (2011)
Abstract: Reports measurement of needle gas exchange, various needle traits, and branch growth of white spruce (Picea glauca) in contrasting growing seasons on riverside terrace near Arctic treeline in Noatak National Preserve, north-west Alaska. Results show very narrow window of environmental conditions for near optimal needle gas exchange in white spruce near Arctic treeline.
