Record #195549:

Spatial association of lemming burrows with landforms in the Swedish subarctic mountains: implications for periglacial feature stability / Peter C. le Roux, and 5 others.

Title: Spatial association of lemming burrows with landforms in the Swedish subarctic mountains: implications for periglacial feature stability / Peter C. le Roux, and 5 others.
Author(s): le Roux, Peter C.
Date: 2011.
In: Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research. (2011.), Vol. 43(2) (2011)
Abstract: Documents spatial distribution of Norwegian lemming (Lemmus lemmus) burrows in sub-Arctic alpine meadow to determine preferred locations for burrow entrances and to examine potential for burrowing to decrease stability of periglacial landforms at site. Findings suggest that rodents have little direct impact on landform integrity, despite burrowing being concentrated on particular landforms.
