Abstract: Assesses achievements of Brandon University Teacher Education Program (BUNTEP) which offers undergraduate degrees in arts and education to students from northern Manitoba who often do not have academic prerequisites for higher education courses. Notes perceived deficiencies of programme, particularly in area of communication skills, and mostly attributable to cultural differences between communities in which programme is delivered.
