Record #195401:

Effects of forest fire on young-of-the-year northern pike, Esox lucius, in the Northwest Territories / Peter A. Cott, and 4 others.

Title: Effects of forest fire on young-of-the-year northern pike, Esox lucius, in the Northwest Territories / Peter A. Cott, and 4 others.
Author(s): Cott, Peter A.
Date: 2010.
In: Canadian Field-Naturalist. (2010.), Vol. 124(2) (2010)
Abstract: Investigates effects of habitat disturbance from natural forest fire on young-of-year (Y-O-Y) northern pike (Esox lucius) in context of forest fire in Tibbitt Lake area, NWT. Finds that Y-O-Y northern pike were significantly larger at unburned sites, and that relative abundance of Y-O-Y northern pike increased significantly at burned sites following revegetation two years after fire.
