Abstract: Following outline of current knowns and unknowns in Arctic deep-sea biodiversity research, article gives overview of activities in U.K. and collaborations with other national and international groups. These include DEEPSEAS benthic biology group at Southampton Oceanography Centre (SOC), SAMS-Northern Seas programme and British Antarctic Survey (BAS). SOC's wide range of technological resources available for biodiversity work include icebreakers, ROVs and AUVs.
