Earthquakes and other Earth movements recorded in the Antarctic regions, 1902-1903: earthquakes recorded in the Antarctic regions, 77°50′50″ S. lat., 166°44′45″ E. long / John Milne.
Title: | Earthquakes and other Earth movements recorded in the Antarctic regions, 1902-1903: earthquakes recorded in the Antarctic regions, 77°50′50″ S. lat., 166°44′45″ E. long / John Milne. |

In: | National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904 : Physical observations with discussions by various authors. (1908.), |
Abstract: | Presents data on earthquakes recorded at Hut Point, Ross Island from 1902-03 by Scott's 1901-04 Discovery expedition, and discusses their origins. Includes list of very large earthquakes in Northern Hemisphere not recorded by instruments in Antarctica. Discusses changes in vertical; tremors and pulsations; distribution of origins of earthquakes; form of areas disturbed by large earthquakes; velocity determination; surviving phase of earthquake motion; suspected quadrantal acceleration in earthquake speed; antipodean reappearances; and seismograms, pulsations, magnetograms, and value of g. |
Notes: | In: National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904 : Physical observations with discussions by various authors / British National Antarctic (Discovery) Expedition 1901-04. |
