Abstract: Examines origin and significance of bouldery debris tongue crossing recently deglacierized forelands of two small glaciers on north-facing slopes of Søre Tverrbottindan and Tverrbytthornet, upper Visdalen. Uses data from aerial photographs and field surveys to: describe landform's morphological, sedimentological and age characteristics; differentiate between landslide, rock glacier or moraine origin; and discuss implications for interactions between glacier and slope processes during deglacierization in neoparaglacial setting, where loss of buttressing and permafrost degradation reduce slope stability. From angular-to-sub-angular nature of boulders, longitudinally ridged surface, down-feature coarsening, and cross-cutting of Little Ice Age moraines, interprets deposits as product of landslide onto glacier ice, probably channelled between glaciers around 1900 AD.
