Abstract: Describes experiment using chilled mirror hygrometer "FINEDEW", employing pair of thin fibre optics and enabling real-time measurement for dew point temperatures by keeping mirror close to fibre line that generates snow crystals. Results demonstrate possibility of dew-point temperature measurement between -5°C and -40°C. Reports humidity a few percent lower than value published in 1954 by Nakaya, attributing difference to measurement of water vapour in air, whereas Nakaya measured water vapour and liquid droplets in air. Also presents principles and features of humidity measuring system employing "FINEDEW".
