| Abstract: | Presents new magnetic anomaly maps identifying main structures of south western sector of Scotia Sea close to active Shackleton Fracture Zone, and interpretations of three parallel seismic profiles, which suggest control of main structures on evolution of bottom current flows, sediment supply and water mass distribution. Deposits are interpreted as contourites developed under influence of Weddell Sea deep water. |
