Record #194252:

Seabird bycatch in Alaska demersal longline fishery trials: a demographic summary / Elizabeth M. Phillips, and 5 others.

Title: Seabird bycatch in Alaska demersal longline fishery trials: a demographic summary / Elizabeth M. Phillips, and 5 others.
Author(s): Phillips, Elizabeth M.
Date: 2010.
In: Marine Ornithology. (2010.), Vol. 38(2) (2010)
Abstract: Summarises seasonal and spatial demographics for seabirds killed incidentally during gear modification trials for demersal longline fishery in Bering Sea. Finds significant male bias in sex ratio of fulmars(Fulmarus glacialis) but not of gulls (Larus spp.) or shearwaters (Puffinus tenuirostris). For top three species killed, age composition of resident species was dominated numerically by adults, whereas migrant species were predominantly immature birds.
