Abstract: | Follows part of photojournalist James Balog's Extreme Ice Survey, designed to provide long-term time-lapse photographic records of cryosphere. Observes rapid melting and increased speed of movement of glaciers including Columbia glacier, Alaska and Jacobshavn, Greenland, and changes in ice caps of Iceland. Notes collapse of Larsen B ice shelf. Makes single mention of burning of fossil fuels driving climate change. Funded in part by Exxon Mobil and David H. Koch. |
