Abstract: | Presents detailed account of Inuit religion. Provides counter-narrative to idea that traditional Inuit culture declined post-contact. Argues that construction of dichotomy between past identified with traditional culture and present involving Christianity obscures continuity and dynamic nature of Inuit society, which has long borrowed and adapted elements form other cultures. |
