Abstract: Comprises 18 essays focusing on extreme polysynthetic nature of Eskaleut languages as spoken over vast area stretching from far eastern Siberia to Greenland. Essays aim to situate Eskaleut languages typologically in general linguistic terms, particularly with regard to polysynthesis, and to evaluate degree of variation from more to less polysynthesis even in relatively unexplored domains such as pragmatics and use in context.
