Title: What is common between Baikal Lake and Lake Vostok (Antarctica)? / P.P. Sherstyankin, L.N. Kuimova.
Author(s): Sherstyankin, P. P.
Kuimova, L. N.

In: IPY News 2007/08 : The International Polar Year 2007/08 in the Russian Federation and Around the World. (2008.), Vol. 13 (2008)
Abstract: Suggests that both lakes are of rift origin and that examination of Lake Baikal could be relevant, as at depths below 650 m thermodynamic conditions in Baikal are virtually identical with those of Lake Vostok.
