Abstract: Reports findings of recent study from Conference Board of Canada identifying mining and fossil fuel extraction as industries that will drive future economic growth in North. Study predicts that primary industries will also drive growth in other sectors of northern economies, including communication, electricity and transport infrastructure, and commercial services.
