Abstract: Presents alkane biomarker and pollen results for loess-like permafrost palaeosol sequence in Tumara River valley. Aims to (i) evaluate potential of long-chain alkanes to serve as biomarkers, (ii) contribute to reconstruction of vegetation history in study area, (iii) compare results with climatic chronostratigraphy based on multi-proxy palaeopedological approach.
