| Abstract: | Reports results of aerial surveys conducted from south-western end of Kasegaluk Lagoon on Chukchi Sea to Demarcation Point on Beaufort Sea during summers of 2005-2007. Surveys identify persistent within- and between-year concentrations of staging shorebirds at Peard Bay, Point Barrow/Elson Lagoon, Cape Simpson, and from Smith Bay to Cape Halkett. Also presents data on shorebird community characteristics, staging phenology, and habitat use, obtained from land-based surveys at six camps. |
