Record #192894:

History of an under-ice subsistence fishery for Arctic cisco and least cisco in the Colville River, Alaska / Lawrence L. Moulton, Brent Seavey, Jerry Pausanna.

Title: History of an under-ice subsistence fishery for Arctic cisco and least cisco in the Colville River, Alaska / Lawrence L. Moulton, Brent Seavey, Jerry Pausanna.
Author(s): Moulton, Lawrence L.
Seavey, Brent.
Pausanna, Jerry.
Date: 2010.
In: Arctic. (2010.), Vol. 63(4) (2010)
Abstract: Reports results of Colville River fishery monitoring for 20-year period 1985-2004. Finds that subsistence fishery effort (from village of Nuiqsut) for Arctic cisco (Coregonus autumnalis) and least cisco (Coregonus sardinella) increased during study period. Since 1993, however, commercial harvest has dropped to negligible level and much of subsistence harvest is confined to one channel in western Colville delta, so overall exploitation rate has declined in recent years.
