Record #192857:

Neoproterozoic metamorphic evolution of the Isbjørnhamna Group rocks from south-western Svalbard / Jaroslaw Majka, and 4 others.

Title: Neoproterozoic metamorphic evolution of the Isbjørnhamna Group rocks from south-western Svalbard / Jaroslaw Majka, and 4 others.
Author(s): Majka, Jaroslaw.
Date: 2010.
In: Polar Research. (2010.), Vol. 29(3) (2010)
Abstract: Describes metamorphosed volcano-sedimentary complex constituting Caledonian basement in south-western part of Wedel Jarlsberg Land, Svalbard. Field, textural and previous thermochronologic data indicate weak, localised metamorphic overprint. Data also confirm that southern tectonic block of Wedel Jarlsberg Land represents fragment of Neoproterozoic orogen, with well-preserved structural grain and metamorphic zonation.
