Long-term variability of Atlantic water inflow to the northern seas: insights from model experiments / Michael Karcher, Rüdiger Gerdes, Frank Kauker.

Title: Long-term variability of Atlantic water inflow to the northern seas: insights from model experiments / Michael Karcher, Rüdiger Gerdes, Frank Kauker.
Author(s): Karcher, Michael.
Gerdes, Rüdiger.
Kauker, Frank.
Date: 2008.
Publisher: Dordrecht: Springer
In: Arctic-subarctic ocean fluxes : defining the role of the northern seas in climate. (2008.),
Abstract: Presents results from simulation of freshwater exchanges between Arctic Ocean and Nordic seas. Most data derives from version of NAOSIM (North Atlantic/Arctic Ocean Sea Ice Models) hierarchy of coupled ice-ocean models. Also discusses propagation of temperature anomalies with inflowing Atlantic water, combining numerical model results and observations to improve understanding of development of Atlantic water temperatures in recent decades.
Notes:
