| Abstract: | Analyses benthic foraminifera from benthic sediment core obtained at depth of 1750 m. Identifies three distinct benthic foraminiferal assemblages which replaced one another over last 26,000 years: 26,000-24,000 yrs BP; foraminifera of deglaciation; and post-glacial-Late Holocene. Finds no benthic foraminera in sediments dating from glacial period 26,000-12,180 yrs BP. |
