| Abstract: | Reports results of field studies during 2004-2008 on distribution and abundance of benthic prey of North Pacific gray whales (Eschrichtius robustus) on two feeding grounds off north-east coast of Sakhalin Island. Introduces probability model for census data arising from aerial line transect surveys of Bering-Chukchi-Beaufort seas stock of bowhead whales (Balaena mysticetus). Provides recent information on North Atlantic right whales (Eubalaena glacialis) for period November 2007-April 2009, including on-going research and management actions. |
