Record #191900:

Major cold-season precipitation events at Iqaluit, Nunavut / Gabrielle Gascon, Ronald E. Stewart, William Henson.

Title: Major cold-season precipitation events at Iqaluit, Nunavut / Gabrielle Gascon, Ronald E. Stewart, William Henson.
Author(s): Gascon, Gabrielle.
Stewart, Ronald E.
Henson, William.
Date: 2010.
In: Arctic. (2010.), Vol. 63(3) (2010)
Abstract: Investigates cold-season (October-April) precipitation events at Iqaluit, Nunavut, that exceed 97th percentile of daily corrected precipitation accumulation. Describes characteristics of 194 major precipitation events for period 1955-1996. Classifies events into four storm tracks: south, west, Atlantic, and other. Finds that south- and Atlantic-originating systems tended to be associated with most severe events.
