Record #191899:

Digital photograph analysis for measuring percent plant cover in the Arctic / Zhaohua Chen, and 3 others.

Title: Digital photograph analysis for measuring percent plant cover in the Arctic / Zhaohua Chen, and 3 others.
Author(s): Chen, Zhaohua.
Date: 2010.
In: Arctic. (2010.), Vol. 63(3) (2010)
Abstract: Reports adapted method for quantifying percentage plant cover based on plot digital photograph classification (PDPC). Evaluates accuracy of PDPC method and two other techniques (visual estimate and digital grid overlay) testing against artificial plots with known percentage cover, comparing with destructively measured leaf area index, and comparing results of three methods. Evaluation indicates that PDPC is most accurate.
