Record #191898:

Breeding bird surveys at Alexandra Fiord, Ellesmere Island, Nunavut (1980-2008) / Sarah A. Trefry, and 3 others.

Title: Breeding bird surveys at Alexandra Fiord, Ellesmere Island, Nunavut (1980-2008) / Sarah A. Trefry, and 3 others.
Author(s): Trefry, Sarah A.
Date: 2010.
In: Arctic. (2010.), Vol. 63(3) (2010)
Abstract: Reports results of breeding bird surveys conducted over five summers between 1980-2008 in periglacial lowland on east-central Ellesmere Island. In all survey years, snow bunting (Plectrophenax nivalis), Lapland longspur (Calcarius lapponicus) and Baird's sandpiper (Calidris bairdii) were most abundant species. Over study period, assemblage of breeding bird species appears to have changed little, except for increase in Lapland longspur.
