Abstract: | Investigates temporal changes in abundance, community composition, and photosynthetic physiology of phytoplankton in surface waters during in situ iron (Fe) fertilisation experiment. Finds three-fold increase in surface chlorophyll a concentration until day 13 of experiment (after two Fe additions) and thereafter decline with time. Results also indicate improvement in photosynthetic physiological condition of phytoplankton after Fe infusions. |
