Record #191603:

Thermally enhanced bioremediation and integrated systems / Dennis M. Filler, and 3 others.

Title: Thermally enhanced bioremediation and integrated systems / Dennis M. Filler, and 3 others.
Author(s): Filler, Dennis M.
Date: 2008.
Publisher: Cambridge: Cambridge University Press
In: Bioremediation of petroleum hydrocarbons in cold regions. (2008.),
Abstract: Discusses fundamentals of thermally enhanced bioremediation and develops concept of integrated remediation system. Synthesises observations from laboratory, bench-scale and field pilot studies to explain design concepts from first principles. Illustrates suitability of construction materials, implementation considerations and aspects of monitoring and validation by reference to few well-documented case studies from Alaska and Canada. Considers thermally enhanced bioremediation for possible use in other cold regions in context of ease of technology transfer, legislative requirements and cost of energy production. Indicates economic and environmental considerations that will aid cost-benefit analyses.
