| Abstract: | Presents overview of measurement techniques used to determine contaminant concentration in soil and reviews biogenic interferences (fractions of natural organic matter (NOM) counted as petroleum) common in petroleum analyses of organic soils. Also proposes pyrolysis-GC/FID method to solve complication to analytical method posed by NOM in organic soils. Discusses future research needs. |
