Гляциоклиматические условия Международного полярного года 2007-2008 в Арктике и изменчивость баланса массы арктических ледников

Title: Гляциоклиматические условия Международного полярного года 2007-2008 в Арктике и изменчивость баланса массы арктических ледников
Title, transliterated: Gli︠a︡t︠s︡ioklimaticheskie uslovii︠a︡ Mezhdunarodnogo poli︠a︡rnogo goda 2007-2008 v Arktike i izmenchivostʹ balansa massy arkticheskikh lednikov / N.N. Bri︠a︡zgin, and 3 others.
Translated title: Glacio-climatic conditions of the International Polar Year 2007-2008 in the Arctic and mass balance variability of the Arctic glaciers.
Author(s): Bri︠a︡zgin, N. N.
Date: 2009.
Language: Russian.
In: Materialy Gli︠a︡t︠s︡iologicheskikh Issledovaniĭ. (2009.), Vol. 107 (2009)
Abstract: Presents temperature and precipitation data for period 2007/08 from 10 Arctic stations (Barrow, Alaska; Mould Bay and Sachs Harbour, NWT, Canada; Nord, Greenland; and several stations on islands north of Russian Federation). Compares these with 1961-1990 means and discusses long-term variability in different areas and across Arctic region. Identifies air temperature increase over last fifty years, and tendency for reduced precipitation, especially in winter. Calculates mass balance time series of some glaciers on basis of meteorological data from stations closest to them. Calculated summer ablations and winter precipitations indicate reduction of some Arctic glaciers.
