Abstract: Describes pioneering mission completed by autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) under Arctic ice. Mission was part of project organised by Natural Resources Canada to collect data in support of Canada's claim under Article 76 of UN Convention on Law of Sea. AUV completed over 1,000 km of survey, mapping sea floor during 10 days of continuous underwater operation.
