Макромасштабная пространственная неоднородность термохалинной структуры вод в Индоокеанском секторе Антарктики

Title: Макромасштабная пространственная неоднородность термохалинной структуры вод в Индоокеанском секторе Антарктики
Title, transliterated: Makromasshtabnai︠a︡ prostranstvennai︠a︡ neodnorodnostʹ termokhalinnoĭ struktury vod v Indookeanskom sektore Antarktiki / V.I. Lanin.
Translated title: Macroscale spatial heterogeneity of the thermohaline structure of the waters in the Indian Ocean sector of the Antarctic.
Author(s): Lanin, V. I.
Date: 1983.
Publisher: Moskva: Ministerstvo Rybnogo Khozi︠a︡ĭstva SSSR :
Language: Russian.
In: Rezulʹtaty okeanograficheskikh issledovaniĭ v pelagiali Indiĭskogo okeana : sbornik nauchnykh trudov. (1983.),
Abstract: Discusses vertical and horizontal distribution of water masses in Indian Ocean sector of Southern Ocean and divides region south of 60°S into three sub-areas. Compares these areas using volumetric-statistical analysis of temperature and salinity of water masses; examines mechanism of developments in centres of cyclonic cycles when destruction of cool interlayer begins; and outlines oceanographic conditions which may contribute to biological productivity in each area. Results indicate that Sodruzhestvo Sea in central area is most productive.
