| Abstract: | Reports results of brief survey in December 2006 of breeding seabirds at small ice-free site on west coast of Graham Land. Species included chinstrap penguin, kelp gull, sub-Antarctic and mixed-species pairs of skuas, Antarctic tern and blue-eyed cormorant. Non-breeding gentoo penguins, Wilson's storm petrels and one snowy sheathbill were also sighted. Comparison with sparse previous data indicate stable population of chinstrap penguins, but only one-third of blue-eyed shags. |
