Abstract: | Describes characteristics of human occupation in central forests of Tierra del Fuego from end of last glaciation up to beginning of 20th century, with details of archaeological sites in different environments, in variety of locations, and displaying wide functional variability. Includes campsites and one ceremonial site. Results confirm that sub-Antarctic forest constitutes abundant environment rich in different kinds of resources, and intensely exploited by native population. |
